I Come to the Garden alone…(but not really)

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Congratulations on your new spring garden. I hope you have one. Gardens are a great example that we reap what we sow. The roses you see to the right are from a rose bush my neighbor was throwing away. I said, “Give it to me. Let me see what I can do.” Look what a little sun, soil and care can do. God is the same way. What is one man’s trash is God’s rose. All it needs is a little time and grace. The next time somebody dismisses or disregards you, remember His grace is sufficient and you are made in His image. You come to his garden alone, but you are never alone. Sing this song. It will remind you to sow good and reap roses.

I Come to the Garden Alone

“I come to the garden alone,

While the dew is still on the roses;

And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,

The Son of God discloses.

Refrain:

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

2 He speaks, and the sound of His voice

Is so sweet the birds hush their singing;

And the melody that He gave to me

Within my heart is ringing. [Refrain]

3 I'd stay in the garden with Him

Tho' the night around me be falling;

But He bids me go; thro' the voice of woe,

His voice to me is calling. [Refrain]
